I started my professional career after I had trained as an actress in the theatre. I went on to work in film, television and radio. Because I felt the need for an intellectual challenge, I decided to study philosophy, film and religion, completed my doctorate and habilitated in the field of media and religion. Today I teach as a senior lecturer, conduct research and appear in public with presentations, on podiums and as a dialogue or workshop leader. In 2011, I earned my doctorate with a dissertation on the relationship between film and religion. In 2011\/12, I worked as a research assistant, and from 2013 to 2016, as a senior research assistant at the Center for Religion, Economy and Politics (ZRWP) at the University of Zurich. Between these positions, I completed two research stays in the United States: at Yale University (2012, Film Studies Program) and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2015\/16, Comparative Media Department).\n\nI completed my habilitation at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universit\u00e4t Munich (LMU) on the media representation of religious communities. I also teach as a Privatdozentin in Religious Studies at LMU, in the area of Religion and the Public Sphere at the ZRWP, and in Media Ethics at the Universities of Applied Sciences in Bern and Graub\u00fcnden.\n\nSince 2006, I have been a member of the research group \u00abMedien und Religion<\/a>\u00bb,\u00a0 co-editor of the journal Journal for Religion, Film and Media<\/a><\/em>\u00a0and co-editor of the book series\u00a0Medien und Religion<\/a><\/em>\u00a0at NOMOS publishing house. In 2021, I was awarded a\u00a0Marie Sk\u0142odowska Curie Fellowship (EU Horizon 2020)<\/a>, which has taken me to the University of Macerata (Italy), the Center for Ethics of Media and Digital Society (zem::dg) at the Munich School of Philosophy, and Goldsmiths, University of London.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
